Steve is friendly, happy, very talented, and athletic. Autism sets many roadblocks in his path, but Steve finds a way around all of them in order to continue his life's journey. His talents grow and are re-defined almost daily. Autism tangles communication skills, but Steve understands most of what he hears. He uses sign language... AND HIS ART...in order to speak. Steve's ART reveals and communicates his tremendous amount of thoughts and emotions. Their meaning is not as clear as their importance.

Steve's large circle of friends and his ability to connect with others is somewhat unique, as a lack of interaction is usually true of Autism. Steve is very vibrant, and has a tremendous sense of humor. When he walks, he almost floats with a zest for life. A quote from one of his teachers says it best, "What I love about Steve is that each time we see each other, he smiles and greets me as if we haven't seen each other in months!"

That enthusiastic attitude brightly shines in Steve's ART. What he may lack in technical skills is more than replaced with great awareness and detailed observation. Steve's ART invites you to share that with him.
